Welcome to The Papua Club
Our Rich History
The Papua Club was established in 1912 in what was then a remote part of the British Empire – the territory of Papua.
The Papua Club lives on today honouring many of the traditions and values that were formed by the founding members. This is reflected in the history that adorns the walls of the club, where the club pays tribute to the country, its members- past and present, and the many unsung heroes of conflicts both in the region and further afield.
The Papua Club is a comfortable and welcoming retreat from the bustle of PNG life, where members and their guests can enjoy lively conversation and comradery in a relaxing environment.
Membership
Membership is by recommendation from our existing members, and all applicants must be invited to attend the club on numerous occasions before a nomination for new membership can be considered.
Any new applications for membership are reviewed by the committee at a monthly meeting.
Membership is an annual commitment for applicants 18 years and over, and the subscription period commences on April 1st through to March 31st each year.
